Today marks the start of the Alwoodley Ward Wide Walk to School Week when we are encouraging everyone who is able to walk, cycle, scoot or park and stride to school in order to reduce car congestion around our schools, to promote active travel and to reduce air pollution.
This morning many of us met with the Living Streets mascot, Strider, at the park and ride on King Lane, and we then walked into school. Once at school, Strider joined us for an assembly in the school hall and then with the Eco-Committee. Here are some photos:

We would like you to make (and keep) a pledge to walk, cycle, or scoot (or park and stride) at least four out of the five days during the week. Your children will earn a badge if you both make the pledge and report back that you’ve kept the pledge.
