We started this week’s meeting by distributing the Eco-Committee badges which had finally arrived. We then took a photo of the group under the Willow tree at the front of the school.

We then had a quick trip to the Ridan Composter to see how it was going. The food waste and wood chip has been reaching over 60°C with some raw compost emerging from the other end. It was suggested that we might dress the composter up with eyes, mouth and a name around it’s neck – we proposed that we christen the composter “Ermintrude” after the cow on The Magic Roundabout!

The remaining time was spent planning for our Eco-Assembly.

The next meeting will be a planning meeting for the assembly and will be on Wednesday 4th May at 8:30am in the ICT Suite
