This week is Recycling Week 2023 when we are being encouraged to take part in “The Big Recycling Hunt”

The aim of The Big Recycling Hunt is to shine a bright spotlight on “missed capture.” This is a quest to find “lost recyclables” that too often find their way into the rubbish bin and landfill. By focusing on commonly missed items such as empty aerosols, plastic cleaning product bottles, plastic toiletry bottles, plastic pots and tubs, and food tins, we can develop a deeper understanding of recycling.

While it is important to make sure that everything that can be recycled is recycled, it is even more important to remember the 7Rs of sustainability so that we consume less in the first place.
